Hauke Joachim Hille's Obituary
Hauke Joachim Hille, 76, of Huntersville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. Born in Germany on January 2, 1950, Hauke was the son of the late Harold and Hela Paper Hille. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved canine companion, Becca, whose faithful companionship and unwavering devotion brought him comfort throughout his illness.
In 1955, Hauke immigrated to the United States with his parents and brother, Rolf. After arriving in the states and settling in Dayton, Ohio, there was an addition to the family, his younger brother, Holger. He later made his home in Bainbridge, Ohio, where he began a career as a carpenter, a profession he truly loved and took great pride in. A gifted craftsman with exceptional skill and determination, Hauke even built his own home. Committed to lifelong learning and personal growth, Hauke continued his education as an adult, earning his bachelor's degree before embarking on a successful career as a Civil Engineer with the Ohio Department of Transportation.
Hauke embraced life with enthusiasm and a spirit of adventure. He enjoyed mountain biking, playing volleyball, traveling, and working with his hands. Whether building something new, exploring the outdoors, or spending time with those he loved, he remained active and made the most of every opportunity. His positive outlook, strong work ethic, and appreciation for life's simple pleasures will be remembered by all who knew him.
Hauke is survived by his devoted wife of 31 years, Margaret "Maggie" (Price) Hille; his daughter and son-in-law, Dainelle and John Heiler; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Rolf and Ruthie Hille and Holger and Jennifer Hille; his cherished grandchildren, Jackson, Sadie, and Collin; his niece and nephews, Tara, Chris, Miles, and Kevin; as well as nine great-nieces and great-nephews.
Hauke will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives were enriched by his kindness, generosity, and adventurous spirit. His legacy of hard work, perseverance, and love for his family will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
