Henry was such a kind, loving man—someone I sought out even as a child at our family reunions. Dipping us in the lake was of course a highlight! But his welcoming, genuine smile, hugs, and silly teasing always made me feel seen, important and loved. I’ll always be grateful for Henry’s kind presence in my life. I will always remember Henry 'dipping' us as kids into the lake at family reunions. It was such a fun treat and as an adult I admire his sacrifice and strength in the name of childhood joy. My uncle Henry was a great man. His faith was unwavering and I known he is with my father and mother in heaven . He was always happy and kind to all of us and that made him my favorite uncle.
