Herbert Vollmann's Obituary
Herbert Eugene (Herb) Vollmann, 81, of Denver, went to be with the Lord on January 4, 2023. He was born in New York City on August 22, 1941 to German immigrant parents, John and Cecilie Vollmann. He attended Palisades Park and Leonia Elementary Schools. He graduated from Leonia High School in 1959. He then attended Cornell University and graduated from Pratt Institute with a Bachelors degree in Architecture in 1967. He received his license to practice in 1969 and opened his private practice in New Jersey in 1971. There he would design a variety of buildings –including municipal buildings, office buildings, commercial malls, medical offices, and more than a thousand new homes and residential additions. He served as president of the North Hunterdon Rotary Club and was a member for 26 years. In 1998, in order to take care of his mother, he moved his practice to Cape Cod, MA. He continued to maintain a diverse practice on Cape Cod as well as serving his New Jersey clients. He served in a number of capacities, including elder, in Cape Cod churches. He was president of the Gideons Int’l on the Cape and Islands.
He is survived by his beloved wife Priscilla of 33 years; sons, Christopher and Darren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County.
A funeral service will be held at 3 PM Sunday, January 8 at Denver Baptist Church with visitation prior, from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Following the service burial will take place at Denver Community Cemetery, where he will one day be raised with his brothers and sisters at the coming of the Lord.
