Hilga Kopter, 77, of Cornelius passed away October 26, 2021. She was born on September 21, 1944, in Wurzburg, Germany to the late Johann and Freida Schober. She passed away from Pancreatic Cancer while at Novant Huntersville. Hil Read Obituary
I’m so sorry to hear about Hilga. I am a volunteer at LNRMC for 12 years and knew her through the hospital. My thoughts are with your family.
Dear family of Hilga.
A finer human being has not lived.
At LNRMC where we both worked all felt she was a saint.
She was always so friendly and helpful to all.
She was especially kind and patient with those of disability. One other coworkers who could not read always went to Miss Hilga for help.
You could see that in her own family as well.
I would see her with her grandson at the YMCA and saw photos and tasted their baked goods.
She was our son Jordan’s baby sitter starting when he was less than 2.
He loved being with her. We felt such peace when he was with her.
When he was older and did not need a sitter we still had her come because he enjoyed her company so much.
She would also watch our house when we were gone.
When my mother was in her late 80’s and staying with us Hilga would come just to sit and talk with her.
All of us are humbled by her exemplary life and very saddened by her death.
