Dearest Mary Ellen, Maren and Kara,

Our deepest condolences to you all, Sandy's pride and joy.

Our hearts are deep in sadness with Sandy's passing. Everything said about him is so true. He was always ready to help, laugh, enjoy, share, and smile. I always call him "the mayor" because of his charisma.

You know, he painted our downstairs rooms. So, now, I find myself staring at our walls and and can't help to thank God for allowing us to share Sandy with us. He always made our girls laugh.

He will be missed here, but we are comforted that he will be joining our Lord in heaven. We will continue to pray for you all.

Know that my heart breaks for each of you...but my heart is full of fun times that we shared...fireworks on the 4th, with Sandy cooking on the grill...Pat falling down the hill at the fireworks, and Bill trying to catch her...enjoying music...laughing...Sandy hiring a wet behind the ears boy and supporting his decision to join the Army...

The Eaker & Sharp girls go way back, and I am happy that the Massengill & Werts kids follow their Moms & Aunts in friendship...Trey & Saye send their love along with mine

We were so sorry to hear of the untimely death of Sandy on Wednesday. We sat here yesterday and reminisced about the good times our families had on Brigadoon Pl. Watching Maren and Kara grow from little one's to beautiful young ladies. Alway wondering what project Sandy would tackle next. Enjoying the wonderful food he would prepare on the stove or charcoal grill. Knowing if you needed help in any way that Sandy was always available. We are blessed to have known Sandy and had the Werts family as our next door neighbor.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the girls during this difficult time.

I am sorry for the loss of your dear Hugh. During times like this our God gives each one of us a very real hope of actually enjoying life with our passed loved ones once again right here on this good earth. At John 5:28 and 29 Jesus himself tells us that those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out to a resurrection of life, similar to how he resurrected his friend Lazarus. Lazarus was resurrected back to life on earth. That is in harmony with God's original purpose for humans, to "fill the earth and subdue it". (Genesis 1:28) God's original purpose for humans has not changed. To see our passed loved ones again on a beautified earth is a hope few dare to dream about, much less firmly believe in.
