Hui Uk was born in Pusan, South Korea, then moved to Seoul where she grew up. Later, Hui Uk moved to Tajon City, South Korea where she met, fell in love with, and married an American Army soldier who was stationed at Camp Casey, a base near the DMZ. She became Mrs. Kenneth F. Since her husband was in the Army, Tammy lived in GA, CA, MD, AZ (twice), NC (twice) and spent three years each living in Germany and England. After 20 years of bearing the hardships and joys of being an Army wife, Tammy and her husband retired in Jacksonville, NC where they lived for 45 years, until her first stroke in April of 2014 necessitated a move to her younger daughter, Elizabeth Krajnik’s home in Huntersville, NC, then on to Cornelius, NC with the Krajnik family. Tammy enjoyed cooking and loved gardening and, most of all, spending time with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Park Jae Yae (mother), and Kim Jung Suk (father).
