Ina Edwards' Obituary
Ina Privett Edwards, of Huntersville, was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world for Heaven on July 4th, 2021 at age 85.
She was born to Kincheon and Mary Privett on August 12, 1935. After graduating from high school, Ina married her neighbor and basketball coach, Raymond Edwards. Together, they had 2 children: Kerry and Jeff.
Ina loved spending time in the home in front of a sewing machine, creating expertly made clothing for herself and family. She frequently produced custom made items like superhero capes and scouting patrol flags for her young sons, drapery in the home, and utility items like carry and storage bags. She loved to read, was a skilled piano player and enjoyed arts and crafts. She loved the outdoors and spending time growing vegetables and flowers in her gardens, and was always eager to go on camping trips and outings with her family.Ina struggled in the latter part of her life with Alzheimer's disease and colon cancer, but always maintained a love and compassion for her family. When nothing more could be done for her, she would simply say"well, it is what it is".
A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00pm on Wednesday July 7, 2021 at Asbury United Methodist Church, located at 11724 Asbury Chapel Road, Huntersville NC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
