James "Lamont" Donaldson's Obituary
Mr. James Lamont Donaldson (Buck), 88, of Huntersville, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021.
Lamont was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church for many years. He served the community of Cornelius as a volunteer fireman for several years as well. Lamont, lovingly known as Buck, retired from Energy United after 48 years.
Lamont loved helping others and never met a stranger. He often was found fixing someone’s lawn mower or some other engine.
Mr. Donaldson is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Cami Donaldson and by his two sisters, Nancy Farmer and Alma Turner.
Lamont is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Betty H. Donaldson, his wonderful son, John Donaldson, and daughter Tina King (Bob).
Funeral services will be held at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Cornelius. Visitation will begin at 1:30 followed by the celebration of his life at 2:00 and a small service at the cemetery.
