James Elsmore's Obituary
James Luther Elsmore, Sr. 85 of Davidson died July 11, 2016 at his home from complications of Parkinson’s disease and Lewy body dementia. He was born on September 19, 1930 in Newberry County, SC to the late James and Elsie Elsmore. He served in the Army during the Korean War. After service he attended NC State and graduated with a degree in textiles. He worked for Sonoco/Crellin Products in Forest City as a plant manager for 42 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends.
Survivors include his wife Nancy; sons, James Elsmore, Jr. of Spartanburg and Michael Elsmore of Davidson; daughter, Catherine Wiese and husband John of Davidson; brother, Earl Elsmore and grandchildren, Perry, Sarah and Landon, who affectionately called him “Poopa”.

The memorial service will be held Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11 am at Davidson U.M.C. with Rev. Sally Langford officiating. Visitation will follow in the fellowship hall.
