James Short's Obituary
James Kenneth Short, 78, of Denver, Passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022.
Jim was a native of Middletown, OH, moved to Orlando, Fla. as a kid, traveled over various states and even served his country in Vietnam as a young man and adult until his retirement from
property management, where he lived in Franklin, NC. During the height of Covid he found a home out in Denver NC. With His Godson, Robert Helma.
Jim was in the military, became a salesman and property manager while studying to become his dream; a Priest. He worked most of his life serving his church communities from Georgia down to Mississippi until the need came to be closer to home for his mom and family. He enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, swimming, board games, and puns and jokes were never far from his jovial spirit.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Kay Short and Kenneth Short, Uncle, Bob Short, and Brother, Paul Short.
Mr. Short is survived by his Brother, Mike Short of Hollyhill, FLA. Godchildren, Robert and Russell Helma of Denver, NC. Many friends, relatives, nieces and nephews who loved him very much.
Funeral Services are to be determined, but He will be Cremated with James Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a contribution to St. Jude Children’s Hospital; a group that
