James Frederick Warren, Sr.'s Obituary
James “Fred” Frederick Warren, Sr., 73, of Huntersville passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023.
Fred was born on May 21, 1949. Preceded in death by his father, G.R. Warren, mother Mildred L. Warren, and sister Donna L. Matheson.
Fred was a 1969 graduate of North Mecklenburg High School, Huntersville, North Carolina. He was retired from Yellow Freight as Master Diesel Mechanic but was a jack of all trades and could fix anything, literally anything! He was a member of Teamsters Local 71, loved fishing and had a hobby of making unique antique glass birdfeeders. He enjoyed helping his neighbors, had a great sense of humor and was loved by all.
Fred was an active and supporting member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church in Huntersville, North Carolina. He was active as a deacon, an elder and loved his time with the JOY (Just Older Youth) group.
Fred is survived by his wife of 27 years, Linda Warren; children; April Hager (Byron) of Summerville, SC, Crystal Waddell (Danny) of Mooresville, NC, James (Jamie) F. Warren, Jr. (Carly) of Mooresville, NC, Jimmy McConnell (Lady) of Sherrill’s Ford, NC; grandchildren Garrett, Dalton, Gabe, Seth, Zella; brothers Bob Warren (Mary) of Havelock, NC, Jack Warren (Cheryl) of Love Valley, NC and many loving nieces and nephews.
A private memorial will be held with immediate family only at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hopewell Presbyterian Church, 11530 Beatties Ford Road, Huntersville, NC 28078.
