Janet Mary Atherton, 65, of Mt. Holly, NC died September 2, 2025. She was born on August 18, 1960 in Chicago to the late Robert and Arlene Probstfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband Michael Atherton.
Survivors include her son, Michael Atherton, Jr.; daughter, Kimberly Morrow; siblings, Renee, John and Chuck and 5 grandchildren, KaiLey Atherton, Aurora Atherton, Audrie Lynn, Bryson Morrow, Abigail Morrow.

A visitation will be held at James Funeral Home from 5-7 PM Thursday, September 11. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, September 12 at St. Mark Catholic with burial following at 12:30 at Salisbury National.
