Janet Irene Ford's Obituary
Janet (Matherly) Ford, age 76, of Charlotte, NC passed away May 9th, 2024 in her home.
Janet was born February 8th, 1948, to Frances & Paul Matherly in Battle Creek, MI. She graduated from Lakeview High School. Married to Ronald Ford April 6th, 1968, 56 yrs.
She married her high school sweetheart, Janet and Ron went on to have 2 children, Julie (Dave Stoner) and Brian (Alexandra). Janet was a beloved wife, Mama, and caregiver to her entire family and circle of friends. She was well known for being an incredible baker of delicious desserts. Janet will be most remembered to those that knew her for being a faithful friend and disciple of her beloved Jesus Christ.
Janet was preceded by her parents Paul and Frances. She is survived by her husband Ron, Brother Martin, Daughter Julie, Son Brian, Grandchildren: Meghan (husband Chase Laing), Shelby (husband Tyler Harrington), Peyton, Preston, Katie, Christy, and Great Grandchildren: Josie, Hadley, Ford, and soon to be born Brynlee.
Our lives will never be the same. Rest in peace our beloved matriarch.
Services will be held at James Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 14th with a visitation from 3PM-4PM
followed by a service from 4PM-5PM followed by a private family burial.
