Janice Cornelius McCoy, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord on October 26, 2020. Janice was born July 8, 1943 in Mooresville, North Carolina. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Sam McCoy, her parents, Read Obituary
I met Janice at IHBC and looked forward to seeing her there. She always smiled and laughed. She was sometimes my seat mate on IHBC trips; we shared many stories of our life experiences. Both of us love jewelry, fashion, and shopping; we never ran out of a topic! I have missed her since her illness, but someday, we will meet again. My Christian love and sympathy be with all of you, she was a lovely lady in many ways. Sincerely, Bonnie Turner.
To the family of Janice, I’m so sorry for your loss. Janice was at the Haven at the same time as my dad. Whenever I visited I always stopped in to see her. Janice was such a wonderful lady. It made me so happy to put a smile on her face. May God be with you during this difficult time

Janice was a classy lady and it has been a privilege to walk with her during these last 5 years as she struggled with her illness. She faced each day with dignity and grace. We are honored to be called her friends. We miss her sweet face. Larry and Jill
So sorry for the loss of sweet sweet Janice. Some of my best IHBC memories are the Sunday’s I served along side her at the welcome desk in the children’s wing. Prayers for comfort for her family.
How fortunate I was to have enjoyed some of life's happiest occasions with Janice! Though our get togethers were not too frequent, they were always so fun-filled and joyful! From her visits up north with family to wedding celebrations in Canada (in person and one virtual) Janice radiated joyfulness with the fullness of her love for family. Some of my fondest memories were of a little local shopping spree when she bought a bright yellow jacket, so becoming of her nature, to our swimming spree in Canada and her vibrant dancing routines at Maddie's wedding! I am grateful for having had the opportunity to share in a few of the sweetest moments in her life. God bless her and her family which hold a special place in my heart! Denise Johnson
