Janice Reese's Obituary
Mrs. Janice Ubadene Reese, 82, of Huntersville, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on Saturday, August 13, 2022.
Janice was born in Crenshaw County, Alabama to Alma and Wesley Jones. The family moved to Dundee, Florida shortly before Janice’s father passed away. Alma, Janice, and Janice’s two older sisters, Virginia and Mary, continued to live in Florida. Though without Wesley, the Joneses faced great adversity, Alma taught her daughters to overcome hardship with grace and wisdom. After high school, Janice met her husband, Robert Reese, while she was working at Patrick Air Force Base and he was in the Air Force. Janice and Robert went on to have three daughters of their own: Teri, Robin, and April. The family moved to Maryland and then California before returning to Florida, but Robert and Janice ultimately settled in North Carolina, where they lived with their daughter, Robin. Janice was a faithful member of Huntersville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church for many years. She loved collecting tea sets, tracing her family lineage, reading, listening to Mozart, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Mary; and her grandsons, Sean Hogan and Joshua Parrish.
Janice is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert Reese; their daughters, Teri Parrish-Landsem, Robin Bouchez (Mark), and April Reese; her sister and best friend, Virginia Driver (OC); her grandchildren, Benjamin Parrish (Kelli), Jonathan Bouchez (Stephanie), Ashley Bouchez, Shannon Rodeski (Christopher), Sabrina Fisher, Nicholas Hogan (Amy), Cody Davis, and Bonnie Davis; her great-grandchildren, Asher Parrish, Savannah Parrish, Emma-Leigh Parrish, Payton Rodeski, Daltyn Anderson, and Brooklyn Hogan; her niece and nephews, Vickie Nations (Zeke), David Driver (Sandi), Joseph Mann (Betty), Larry Mann (Donna), and Jerry Mann (Leila); and many other members of her wonderful extended family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17 at Huntersville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. before the services.
