Janie Gaylord's Obituary
Janie Cannon Gaylord, 88, left this earth to be with her heavenly father on December 24th, 2023. She is survived by her husband, Jeremiah (Jerry) Thomas Gaylord. Janie and Jerry celebrated 67 years of marriage together.
Janie was preceded in death by her father, William Anderson Cannon; her mother, Annie Moore Cannon; and her brother, Clyde Moore Cannon and is survived by her sister, Christine Cannon Larrick of Wilmington, NC.
She is survived by her daughter, Christine Gaylord Hartsfield and husband, Michael, their two daughters; Lauren and Jessica Hartsfield; and by her daughter, Susan Gaylord Grewell and husband Kendall and their three sons; Teague, Ty and wife Paige and Tate Grewell.
Janie’s artwork was admired by many. She painted occasionally on commission and was awarded for her talents. Janie’s faith was an encouragement to many testifying of God’s goodness to her despite her health challenges. She has now gone on to be with the Great Artist himself.
Janie was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church and their Angel Ministry. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 28, at 11:00 AM at Bethel Presbyterian Church with a reception to follow.
