Janie Waters' Obituary
Janie Dildy Waters, 83, of Charlotte, NC died July 6, 2013 at Olde Knox Commons. She was born on April 4, 1930 in Greene County, NC to the late Robert and Gertrude Dildy. Janie was a homemaker and lovingly cared for her family and neighbors. She was a long time member of Williams Memorial Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder, Sunday school teacher, and was active in the Presbyterian Women. She enjoyed sharing her decorating skills for many church activities.
Survivors include her husband Oliver “Shorty” Waters, Jr.; son, Linwood “Roy” Baker and wife Robin of York, SC; daughter, Lisa Fisher and husband Don of Huntersville; grandchildren, Lindsay and Jonathan Fisher and Roxanne Baker; and sister Peggy Gay of Walstonburg, NC.
A memorial service will be held at Williams Memorial Presbyterian Church on Friday, July 12 at 3PM. Visitation will follow in the fellowship hall.
