Jean Fidler's Obituary
Jean Bumgarner Fidler, 87, of Huntersville died June 12, 2024 at her home. She was born on December 10, 1936 in Mecklenburg County to the late Frank and Bernice Bumgarner.
Jean was the typical 1970’s mom. She was an Avon Lady for 50 years, PTA-Brownie and Girl Scout mom and a Carpool mom for whoever needed a ride. She was also known as The Coupon Lady with the pocketbook full of coupons as well as her truck. She loved showing people how to use coupons and never met a stranger she had a very big heart. She loved her church Williams Memorial Presbyterian and enjoyed working at their annual BBQ.
She was preceded in death by her husband Merlin Fidler and brother Ray Bumgarner.
Survivors include her daughters, Marilyn Earnhardt and husband Terry of Cornelius and Candace Jackson and husband John of Cornelius; 4 grandchildren, Adam Earnhardt of Cornelius, Landon Jackson and wife Sara of Maiden, Justin Jackson of Fayetteville and Crystal Jackson of Charlotte and 7 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Carolina Caring Hospice.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, June 15 at James Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10-11 AM prior. Burial will follow at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
