Jean Luke's Obituary
Jean Luke, 95, passed away peacefully at home, Wednesday, October 13th,2021.
Jean was born and raised in Iowa, a graduate of Iowa State University. Throughout her life, she lived in many places and countries, but spent most of her time in Scarsdale NY before retiring to Amelia Island Plantation Florida, then moving to Cornelius, NC to be closer to family. Jean loved to entertain, travel, play golf, bridge, and spend time with her family. She was a member of Davidson United Methodist Church where she enjoyed her Sunday School Class. Jean was passionate about supporting women in need and the ASPCA. She was preceded in death by her husband Victor (Mike) Luke and son Kenneth (Lee) Yarbrough.
Jean Luke is survived by her children; Charles Yarbrough of Indiana, David Yarbrough of Texas and Gillian Baulieu (David) of North Carolina, grandchildren; Michelle (Brandon) Hodges, Jennifer (Tyler) Tefft, Christine (Weston) Lawrence, Catie (Cam) Shively, Andrew (Bailey) Yarbrough, Madison Yarbrough, Chelsea (Chris) Gleason, great-grandchildren; Lennon, Quinn and Jackson.
The family will be having a Celebration of Life and she will be placed with her husband and son at The Amelia Island Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA.
