Jean Miller's Obituary
Jean R. Miller, 100, of Charlotte, N.C., passed away Monday, October 17, 2022. Jean was born in Charleston, W.Va., but spent most of life in Norfolk, Va. after her husband retired from the United States Navy. She had move to Charlotte in 2020 to live with her son and daughter-in-law.
Jean worked at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. as a secretary during W.W. II, and was a full time homemaker after marrying her husband, Stanley. She enjoyed gardening in her back yard and especially playing bingo with her lady friends.
Mrs. Miller was preceded in death with her husband, Stanley H. Miller; parents, George and Elizabeth Cochran; sons, Anthony G. Miller and Christopher S. Miller; sisters, Rita McGinnis, Doris Jenkins, Ann Dykes, and Ruth Cochran; brothers, Donald and Wilbur Cochran; and granddaughter, Amy Elizabeth Miller.
Jean is survived by her sons, Stanley Miller, Jr. (Sandy) and Robert Miller (Kathy); 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
The family will be having a private celebration of life service.
