Jeanette Lezama's Obituary
Jeanette "Jean" A. Lezama, of Denver NC, passed away November 20, 2022, surrounded by close family.
Born on February 26, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY to her unforgettable, late parents Joseph and Elsie Zammataro. She is survived by her two children, Tracy and Kevin, her grandchildren Brian, Samantha, Joey, Brenda, Kevin Jr, Michael, Patrick and Christopher, her great grandchildren Ethan and Genesis, her sister Susan and brother in law Tony, her three nieces Michelle, Danielle and Jennifer, as well as her grandnieces and grandnephews Christopher, Matthew, James, Jessie and Brooke.
Teacher, author, puzzle lover, Elvis fan and devout Christian. Life took her to live over a third of her life in Mexico, where she became a respected teacher and small-business owner, after her retirement and return to her homeland, she spent her years adventuring and visiting the amazing places the world has to offer, from the high mountains of Machu Picchu to Mt Etna, to the jungles of Mexico and the deserts of the Holy lands. She always found a way back to her family, where she found comfort and solace, spending her last years with them, at her new found home in North Carolina.
A funeral mass will be held on November 26th, at 2:30 pm at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, followed by a final goodbye at Northlake Memorial Gardens, at 4:00 pm.
