Jeanne Lowrance's Obituary
Jeanne Cavelle Knox Lowrance, 90, of Huntersville, died October 30, 2011 at Presbyterian Hospital. She was born in Huntersville on October 17, 1921 to the late Robert Brice Knox and Annie Smith Knox. She graduated Cornelius High School and Appalachian Teachers College. She retired as a 4th grade school teacher from Huntersville Elementary School.
She is survived by her sons, Mason Arlington, Jr. “Sandy” Lowrance of Mooresville and Robert Brice “Robbie” Lowrance of Cornelius; brothers, Hub Knox and wife Janet of Cornelius and Max Knox and wife Joan of Denver; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Mason and brother Carlyle Knox.
Memorials may be made to the cemetery fund of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 19600 Zion St., Cornelius, NC 28031.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 11-12 prior in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
