Jeffrey "Scott" Halsey, 61, of Cornelius passed away peacefully December 12, 2023 at his home. He was born on February 6, 1962 in Iredell County. He was raised in Cornelius and was a graduate of North Mecklenburg High School. Sco Read Obituary
I am just finding out about Scott's passing by seeing it in the paper. Scott, Mike and I worked together in the Cashion office for several years. I learned very quickly that Scott was the "go to man" when any of us had a problem. And I enjoyed the visits with Cliffy when his Dad brought him into the office. Scott always ended his day going to the grocery for dinner for his family. He was smart, caring and hard working. I will be praying for everyone during this Christmas season.
Jay and I have so many great memories of Scott! He was always, always smiling. The last time we saw him was at one of our family dinner nights at Big Daddy’s. He was having some trouble walking by then but as always, still smiling. I so admire how he handled his diagnosis and the BIG LOVE he had for Sandy, Brandon, Cliffy…and for all of us. Gone way too soon!

We are so sorry to hear of Scott's passing. Brandon you and your whole family will be in our thoughts and prayers.
Scott and I were longtime fellow hockey dads relishing in the fact that our time and money investment were well rewarded with on ice talent. I will remember him as a good and decent man who put his family above all else.
He gave me a chance to make a better pathway in life. I am so sorry to hear 😢 about his death . He was the best man I know.
