Jeffrey William Cozy's Obituary
Jeffrey William Cozy, 53, of Huntersville, NC passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Novant Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC.
He was born on February 19, 1962 in Charleston, SC and was the son of the late John Francis Cozy. He was a 1980 graduate of Antelope Valley High School in Lancaster, CA where he was the quarterback of the varsity football team; 1984 graduate of Chico State University and member of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity; was past Exhalted Ruler of the Benevolent & Protective Order of the Elks in Hillsboro, OR; Senior Mortgage Underwriter for Bank of America in Charlotte; and attended Community in Christ Church in Huntersville.
Surviving family members include his wife, Sarah Brown Cozy of Huntersville; mother and step father, Mary Katherine Schachte Uhler and Robert Uhler of Daniel Island, SC; son, William Alexander Cozy and daughter, Jessica Elaine Cozy, both of Huntersville; five brothers, Gerald Michael Cozy and wife Sara of Roseville, CA, John Cozy, Jr. and wife Renee of Sarasota, FL, Brian Edward Uhler of San Jose, CA, Jon Karl Uhler of Los Angeles, CA, and Mark Douglas Uhler of Goose Creek, SC; one sister, Julia Ann Phelps of Surfside, SC.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015, at 11:00 AM, at All Saints Lutheran Church, 2107 N. Hwy 17, Mt. Pleasant, SC, 29466 SC. An inurnment will follow at All Saints Memorial Garden columbarium.
