Jerry Alexander's Obituary
It is with profound sadness that I share the passing of my beloved father Jerry Alexander of Kannapolis, NC who left us on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at the age of 81.
Jerry was a native of Huntersville, NC. He was a member of New Life Baptist Church for many years. Jerry attended Logan High School where he also drove the school bus. Jerry was employed at Martin Marrietta for 45 years with the environmental crew as a crane and excavator operator. Jerry was the definition of a real man. He was a true country man if it equaled country it added up to Jerry. Hunting, fishing, gardening, cutting wood and farming. Jerry also loved fast cars (Black Widow)
Jerry was preceded in death by his loving wife, Louizy Alexander of 52 years of marriage and with 60 years of being together, his parents, Charles Alexander, Sr. and Carrie Brice Alexander, daughter, Janet Earl, and three brothers; Charles Alexander, Jr., Arthur Louis Alexander, and John Mack Alexander.
Jerry left to mourn him and his legacy by daughters; Shelia Moser, Tammy Shamsid-Deen, Tiffany Earl, Miranda Jenkins (Avondale Hampton), son, Randall Dennis (Waynette Dennis) all of Concord, 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-granddaughter, two siblings; Susie (Leon) Freeman of Charlotte, Frances M. Works of Huntersville, special friend, James Caldwell, bonus son/nephew Robert Way Mackin, and several nieces and nephews.
Jerry and Louizy loved all children and raised many.
The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2024 at James Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 4 p.m. Committal services will follow at NorthLake Memorial Gardens.
