Jessie Price Almond's Obituary
Jessie Ovaline Price Almond, 85, of Charlotte, NC, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 at the Community Hospice Center in Jacksonville, FL surrounded by family.
Jessie was the daughter of the late Bessie Jamerson Price and Haskell Lee Price of Westminster, SC. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Ray “Bob” Almond, and her best friend, Audrey “Granny” Irons. She was a member of Hunter Acres Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC. Jessie was a retired seamstress from Mecklenburg Manufacturing Co.
Mrs. Almond is survived by her two daughters; Linda Kincaid (Robert), Sue Ferguson (Fred), grandchildren; Kim Gustina (Steve), Justin Kincaid (Lauren), Jeremy Ferguson (Christy), great-grandchildren; Colton Miller, Cooper Gustina, Lilly and Addi Kincaid, Corbin Ferguson, 17 nephews, 10 nieces, brothers; Ray and Frank Price of Westminster, SC, sisters; Tez Morris of Mooresville, NC, Rosetta Camp of Jacksonville, FL, sister/caregiver, Shirley Price Irons of Jacksonville, FL. The family wishes to extend a sincere gratitude to Shirley for the love and care she extended to Jessie (Ovaline) during her lengthy illness.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Saturday, January 21 with funeral service starting at 11:00 a.m. at James Funeral Home, (10520 Arahova Dr., Huntersville, NC 28078) officiated by her pastor, Rev. Don Newell of Hunter Acres Baptist Church. A graveside service will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Rd., Charlotte, NC 28212.
