Jeth Vang's Obituary
Jeth Vang, 35 years old of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away peacefully at Levine & Dickson Hospice on October 12, 2016. Funeral Service and visitation will be held beginning 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on October 22, 2016 at James Funeral Home. On October 23, 2016, Funeral Service and visitation will be held beginning 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment Service follows at North Lake Memorial Gardens 11001 Alexanderana Road, Huntersville, NC 28078.
In the summer of June 17, 2016, Jeth suffered a traumatic brain injury while spending vacation time with his extended family in Myrtle Beach, SC. After a courageous four-month battle, the good Lord has called him home.
Jeth was born in Providence, Rhode Island on March 15, 1981. Jeth was a competitor, and he never backed down from a challenge in life. He is the eldest son of Cher Pao Vang and Bao Her. During the summer of 1984, his family moved to Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Jeth spent his early childhood years in Manitowoc with family and friends. Around 1989/ 1990, the family decided to move to Charlotte, NC. Jeth was mostly raised in Charlotte, NC. He spent roughly two years in Milwaukee, WI with his Dab Laus (Uncle) Ter Her, during his adolescent teen years. He graduated from Independence High School (Charlotte, NC) in 1999. Early in his adult life, opportunities presented itself and his love for God led him to pursue evangelical/ministry work in Raleigh, NC and Atlanta, GA. Through hard work, perseverance and faith in God he recently graduated from UNC at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science Degree of Computer Science in May 2016.
Jeth was one of the five siblings. He is survived by his father, Cher Pao Vang, his mother, Bao Her and his four siblings, Pa Thao Vang, Keng Vang, Bee Vang and Dr. Tong Lou Vang. His wife, Amy Yang and one-year-old son, Jamien Muaj Tseeb Vang, treasured niece Jazlynn Katie Thao and nephew Moses, Seth, Cheng Tong, along with countless friends and family whom were blessed to know him.
Jeth was a man of integrity, boldness, determination, and loyalty, which resulted in developing a deep passion for God and compassion for others. He loved everything about the game of basketball. He was a die heart fan of the Carolina Panthers football team. He enjoys playing other sports such as soccer and volleyball as well. He devoted time with his family, friends, and especially his one-year old son, Jamien (Muaj Tseeb) Vang. He loves food, fishing, taking his nephews and niece to fun places. Jeth is a great uncle and tutor to his niece and nephews. He is artistically talented in writing his own poetry, a skilled lyricist, and a gifted artist. Of all things, Jeth was a loving father and husband to his son, Jamien (Muaj Tseeb and wife, Amy Yang. His one-year old son was his joy, pride, peace, and love.
Jeth impacted the lives of many people, friends and family, everywhere with his openness, friendliness, humorous, personality and love for God. He was loved by many, and will dearly be missed. God loves you most, until we meet again, rejoice in heaven.
