Jewel was the sunshine in our lives. She and my mother, Yvonne Triplett Ventura were best friends for 80 glorious years. Their friendship gave me and my brother and sister, and of course, our loving father, Anthony, the opportunity to unite both of our families as one. When I think of Jewel I can honestly say she brought so much love, laughter and the best Southern cooking to our home. We will continue to share our lives with Cathye and her family.
