Jimmy Danseglio's Obituary
James Joseph "Jimmy" Danseglio, 73, of Cornelius and South Florida died November 11, 2019. He was born on October 29, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Carmine and Jennie Danseglio.
Jimmy was best at three things in life: being a father and grandfather, being a music lover, and being an optician. His passion for all of these was boundless. Jimmy created, loved, and supported music his entire life. He was considered one of the best opticians, a master at his craft who could make even the worst prescription look perfect on his clients. But Jimmy spent most of his energy and time on his children and grandchildren, lavishing them with love and attention, imparting his wisdom, and sharing his love of life with them. Everyone who encountered Jimmy will remember him for his positive energy and his flair, funk, and integrity.
He is survived by his son, Michael, daughters, Staci and Alissa; grandchildren Mikayla, Jordan, Cameron, Jayda, and Maddox; and siblings, Stephen Danseglio and Anne Carroll.
A memorial service will be held at 5:30 Thursday, November 14 at Elevation Lake Norman with visitation to follow the service.
Jimmy loved dogs and would most appreciate memorials be made in lieu of flowers to the Triangle Sheltie Rescue of NC. http://triangleshelties.com
