Jimmy Lassiter's Obituary
Jimmy Dell Lassiter, 87, of Davidson, NC died September 20, 2021 at his home. He was born on October 8, 1933 in Guilford County to the late Gurney and Ursley Lassiter.
After graduating from high school in High Point, NC, Jimmy received a B.S. degree from Pfeiffer College in 1957. Upon graduation, he wed his lifelong love, Anita, sharing 63 years wonderful years of marriage. In the late 1950s, the couple moved to Fort Rucker, Alabama where Jimmy served in the U.S. Army. He was a proud American and never took our freedom for granted.
Jimmy worked extremely hard through the years in the furniture business. He retired in 1998 from Troutman Chair Co in Troutman, NC as a sales representative servicing a territory from N.C. to Florida.
One of his greatest passions was the game of golf playing 50 plus years. He cherished the many friendships he made throughout his golfing years especially those from Cowan's Ford County Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anita and one sister, Mrs. Ophelia Howell of High Point, NC. Survivors include his son, Dan Lassiter of Mooresville, NC and daughter, Laura Lassiter of Huntersville, NC.
The family would like to thank all the nurses from Hospice of LKN, especially our weekly nurse, Ashley. You were the glue that held us together and we are forever grateful.
