I (Fred) had the pleasure and honor of working for John during the late 1980s at Scott AFB.
John was a rarity---a people person who sincerely cared about others---even if it sometimes required a different cadence. Col Barton was a beacon in an oft-too-often status- quo world!Heaven will honor his perspective and efforts.
