John Howard Gant, 77 of Huntersville died August 12, 2014 at his home. He was born on December 19, 1936 in Mecklenburg County to the late James Oscar Gant, Sr. and Annie Sims Gant. Survivors include his wife Lucille Gant; daughte Read Obituary
I miss him so much like you do and missed him before his passing. I also missed being able to ask him for his advise years before he passed. I miss him so much. He did still have his very angle like heart we had that for years before he passed. We get to carry him around in our hearts and soul. Thank you so much Jimmy
I would like to Thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. They mean the world to me with the passing of my Dad. I was very blessed to have such a wonderful kind soul man to have as a father.

John was a kind and loving man. He greeted everyone he met with a warm smile and hearty handshake or hug. He treasured his family as they treasured him. I know he held a special place in the heart of his nephew Andy. He will be missed.

I am glad that I had the privalage to grow up around my Uncle John. John was always happy and loved to go hunting and fishing. One special thing I learned from Uncle John was the importance of Family. Although the days have gone when everyone met at my Grandfathers house for Sunday lunch, I try to follow what I learned from him with my children and grandchildren. Thank you! John Gant for all the very special times we had together when I was young. You will never be forgotten.

I love Uncle John. He was always a bright spot in my day when I was with him. He was happy and positive. He always made me feel like I was pretty and special to him. He had a way of making everyone feel like they were his favorite person. He was a great husband, father, and grandfather. I'm so sorry he is gone. I will miss him. I love you, Uncle John.
