John Huber's Obituary
John (Jack) Stanley Huber, Jr., 83, of Cornelius died December 30, 2022 at his home. He was born on January 25, 1939 in Massachusetts to the late John and Wanda Huber.
Jack graduated from North Quincy High School in North Quincy, MA and then attended Northeastern University in Boston, MA in 1961. He immediately entered the Army to satisfy his ROTC requirements. He then married his wonderful wife Jean and moved to Rochester, NY where he and Jean had three sons and worked at Eastman Kodak. Jack had a very accomplished career as a statistician, decision risk analyst and then a SAS programmer. Jack was an avid hiker and walker as he loved the outdoors. He loved to read and also loved to watch Western movies. During college he was an avid sailor and was a gifted athlete. He is a devout Catholic and attended church regularly. He loved to watch his sons and grandchildren play sports and attend their dance recitals and any special occasions in the grandchildren's lives.
Survivors include his wife Jean; sons, Daniel John Huber and wife Jennifer of Needham, MA, Mark John Huber and wife Laura of Mansfield, TX and Scott David Huber and wife Jill of Huntersville, NC; and 6 grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Mark Catholic Church or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, January 9 at St. Mark Catholic Church. Visitation will be 12-1:00 prior in the church narthex. Burial will follow the mass at Northlake Memorial Gardens. Following the burial, all are invited back for a reception at James Funeral Home.
