John McCarthy's Obituary
John Joseph McCarthy, 74, of Huntersville, NC died September 22, 2019 at his home. He was born on May 26, 1945 in East Lynne, MO to the late John “Jack” and Katherine McCarthy.
John received his music education at Hesston College and Goshen College. He married Anna Peachey in Belleville, Pennsylvania on December 29, 1970. After living in Goshen, Indiana for several years, they moved to Ohio where he began his career in automotive sales and management. After retirement, they moved to North Carolina where he enjoyed cooking, fishing and maintaining a beautiful lawn.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Peachey McCarthy; daughter, Deirdre (David) of Huntersville; siblings, Mary Kay (Stan) Eichelberger of Franktown, CO, Theresa (Don) Gunden of Goshen, IN and Michael (Chere) McCarthy of Liberal, KS; grandchildren, Bailey and Brodie.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, September 28 at Ramah Presbyterian Church in Huntersville, NC. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.
