John T. Vain's Obituary
John Thomas Vain, 75, of Lowesville, passed away Friday August 31, 2024. He was born
October 24, 1948 in Franklin Township, NJ to the late David and Anne Vain.
John was a member of Fairfield Methodist Church in Denver and former member of
Pleasant Grove United Methodist in Charlotte. He worked part-time at the Billy Graham
Library in the Dairy Barn where he loved to meet new people, minister to them and pray
with them. He loved the people he worked with and was happiest when he was there. His
hobby was photography. He loved taking pictures of his grandchildren, church events and
nature.
In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Vain and his brother
David Daniel Vain. He is survived by his sister, Margaret (Peggy) Vain, daughters, Cynthia
Vain and Heather Anderson, husband Brian Anderson and grandchildren, Devon, Chase,
Addison, Garrett, Madison, Tristan; future great grandson.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Thursday, September 5, from 5:00-7:00 PM at James Funeral Home in Huntersville.
The funeral will be held on Friday, September 6, 1:00 PM, at Fairfield Methodist Church in Denver. The interment will follow immediately after the funeral at the church cemetery.
