I was saddened today to learn of Woodley's passing last year. Woodley was an incredible businessman and servant leader. He loved Betty and his family, and was always ready to serve his fellow man.
Woodley was the President of the Charlotte Sealtest Milk Producers Association in the early 80's when Sealtest announced that the Company was closing the Charlotte milk plant. I was the milk buyer at Sealtest, and I was the person that had to break the news to Woodley. In true form his response was, "well, how can we fix this ?"
Woodley provided the necessary leadership to help create a new dairy marketing cooperative called the Carolina Virginia Milk Producers Association that mitigated the immediate market loss. His further leadership helped the Cooperative grow to become a very profitable milk market for hundreds of dairy farmers across the Southeast for many years.
I will never forget Woodley's smile nor his friendship. Rest In Peace my Friend and Comrade.
