Johnny Ray Bustle Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Johnny Ray Bustle, Jr., 85 of Cornelius, NC passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 9, 2023. Johnny was born on February 26th, 1938, in Mooresville, NC. He was raised on a farm in Cornelius, NC and was a graduate of North Mecklenburg High School. He was born into a large extended family and always enjoyed family reunions, church, camps, and outings with his cousins. Johnny served as a staff sergeant with the Air National Guard for nine years. Johnny worked twenty-eight years for Southern Bell as an account manager. He was also always busy with his apartments and other real estate investments. Johnny was a part of the Cove Church in Mooresville, NC. Johnny enjoyed yard work with his tractor, Nascar races, Duke basketball, camping, and most of all spending time with his large family.
Mr. Johnny Bustle, Jr. was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Ray Bustle Sr., and his mother, Rachel Morrow Bustle. Johnny is survived by his wife of 43 years, Cheryl Bustle; children Natalie Griffin, Brad Bustle (Lisa), Brandon Bustle (Ashley), and Megan Bustle; thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The visitation will be held at James Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC on Thursday, December 14th, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Following the visitation, the funeral service will take place at 12:30 p.m. at James Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Sharon Memorial Park Mausoleum. The Bustle family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff that provided excellent care to Johnny in his final days at Atrium Health - Carolinas Medical Center. The family also wants to thank the Cove Church care group and prayer teams for their ministry to Johnny and Cheryl during the past few months.
