Johnny M. Hager Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Johnny Marion Hager Jr. (Junior) 79, of Huntersville passed away on March 1st 2025 at Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center. Junior was born on July 13th, 1945 in Huntersville North Carolina to the late Johnnie Marion Hager Sr. and the late Vergie Brown Hager. He was a great man with a rock solid faith in Jesus Christ and was a lifelong member of Union Grove Baptist Church. In the last few years he faithfully attended Calvary Baptist Church of Charlotte. He worked 33 years for the State of North Carolina Department of Transportation and was a landscape supervisor until he retired in 2000. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his wife and children. He was a friend to everyone that he met and would give you the shirt off his back. Junior was preceeded in death by his parents, sister Barbara Gentry, brother -in-law's Howard and Paul Moore and several cousins.
Those left to carry on his legacy and cherish his memory are his loving wife of 43 years Marsha Robinette Hager, 2 daughters; Karen Hager and Nancy Hager of Huntersville, son; Ryan Hager (Dina) of Huntersville, sisters; Clarine Moore and Peggy Moore of Huntersville, Shirley Clark of Maiden and Brother David Hager (Carol) of Mooresville. Brother-in-law's; Tim Robinette (Carolyn) of Gastonia and Jeff Robinette (Maggie) of Charlotte and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his special fur baby Luna.
Services are on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 12:30 pm at Calvary Baptist Church of Charlotte located at 2727 Mt. Holly Huntersville Road, Charlotte, NC 28214 visitation will start at 11:30 until service time. Burial will follow the service at Centerpointe Baptist Church (formerly Union Grove Baptist Church) 6431 Cashion Road, Huntersville 28078
