Jonah Lubin's Obituary
Jonah Newell “Jo” Lubin, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2024, at the age of 77. He was born on August 30, 1946, in Micoud, St. Lucia to the late Patrick and Flermentia Lubin.
Jonah was a generous and kind person who gave selflessly and with an open heart. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and going on his famous island drives. He knew how to lighten up any room he entered with his infectious dancing, singing, and instrument playing. He shared his love for music and cooking with his loved ones.
In addition to his parents, Jonah is preceded in death by his siblings Lincoln Lubin, Victor Lubin, Margret "Doo Doo" Lubin, Darien Lubin, Comely Lubin; daughter Rida Amina Lubin Sendir. He is survived by his wife and friend of 37 years, Beverly Ann Lubin; their children, Jonah Lubin Jr., Joel Lubin, Apreel Lubin, Ramsey Lubin; grandchildren, Zuri Lubin, Zaina Lubin, Arya Osman, Ezra Green, Noah Sendir; surviving siblings Jean Lubin, Melanie Ferguson, Ellen Herbert, Patricia Lee and many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews in St. Lucia, United States, and United Kingdom.
Jonah's story is of love and an unwavering commitment to his family. He will be deeply missed, but the seeds of joy he planted in the hearts of those who knew him will continue to grow and flourish for generations to come.
The celebration of Jonah's life will be held on Wednesday, August 21, at 11:00 AM at James Funeral Home of Huntersville.
