Jose Manuel Aguiar's Obituary
José Manuel Aguiar, 81 of Lincolnton, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2016, at Levine and Dickson Hospice House. Born in Vieques, Puerto Rico, to Tomás and Blanca Aguiar, he lived most of his life in Brooklyn, New York.
José was predeceased by his beloved wife, Igdalia Aguiar, and youngest child, Thomas Aguiar. Left to keep his legacy alive are his beloved children, Blanca Aguiar of Huntersville, NC, Wanda Rowe and husband Richard of Wichita, Kansas, and Jose M. Aguiar Jr., and wife Debbie of Lincolnton, NC; his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Luis Rodriguez and son Christopher; Nelson Rodriguez; Joanne Velez, husband Isaac, and daughters Kaylee and Isanae; Kimbely Keziah, husband George and daughters Caitlin and Autumn; Tiffany McCord, husband Chris and sons Chace and Walker; Lynda Rivera and husband Cleo, Debbie Mckinney, husband Robert, and children Zion and Maverick; Tommy’s children; Thomas Aguiar Jr., Cynthia Aguiar, Aimee Aguiar, husband Miguel and their sons Jayden and Julian; and daughter Krystal Cherie.
He is also survived by his loving siblings; Carmen O. Bermudez, Leticia Aguiar, Rosa Aguiar, and Blanca Aguiar; his brothers, Luis R. Aguiar, Carlos, Tomás Aguiar, and his loyal mascot LJ; as well as his many loving family and friends.
Jose’s inherent work ethic served him for his entire life. He had many different opportunities over the course of his life including business manager and business owner. Jose was also a very talented carpenter.
Jose was a lifelong diehard New York Yankees fan. A passion and love, he proudly passed down to his children and grandchildren. He was always either listening or watching his Yankees. He was a very special person, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who will be treasured in our hearts forever.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016, at 2:00 PM at Grace Covenant Church located at 296 North Highway 16, Denver, NC 28037. Burial will be private.
