Carol Obertubbesing
I just learned of Mr. Calabria's passing. He was Assistant Principal of Union Hill when I graduated in 1969. I admired his ability to encourage students at different academic levels and to interact as a person rather than as a superior. I kept in touch after high school and have a fond memory of my late husband and I riding with him on his tractor at his farm in Otego, NY. He seemed happy and at-home there, a place very different from Union City. The world needs more people like him, who dedicate themselves to helping others and to finding joy in both the small and the large things in life. I offer my condolences to his family and friends.
