Joseph Fullerton's Obituary
Joseph C. Fullerton "Joe" Fullerton, 89, left for glory on Sept. 12. He passed peacefully surrounded by family at Levine and Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville. He was born November 4, 1924 in Charlotte to Joseph Fullerton and Ada B Fullerton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Helms Fullerton, Sister Elizabeth Hager and brother, Robert. He graduated from Thomasboro High School in Charlotte. He served his country during WWII in the Army. He is survived by children, Robin F and Paul Turpin, Kim F and Jack Homesley, Jeff and Dawn Fullerton and Pamela F Johns. His grandchildren, Jonathan (wife Chelsea), Amy and Rachel Homesley and Michael Fullerton. One great grandchild, Olivia Homesley.
Joe loved the beach and fishing both there and at home. He loved playing cards and was a long time Atlanta Braves fan. Chocolate was a favorite food. He never met a stranger and will be missed by his family.
The funeral service will be in James Funeral Home Chapel in Huntersville at 11 am Monday, September 15. Visitation will be 10-11 prior. Burial will be at Forest Lawn West Cemetery in Charlotte.
