Joseph Patrick Cullen's Obituary
LCDR Joseph Patrick Cullen, USN, RET, 79, of Huntersville died September 10, 2012 at his home. He was born on January 20, 1933 in Portsmouth, NH to the late Capt Carl Edward Cullen, USN and Margret Clark Cullen. He served in the US Navy as a highly decorated Pilot. During his distinguished career he served aboard the USS Coral Sea and The USS Midway. He also flew two combat tours over Vietnam.
Survivors include his two sons Michael Joseph Cullen of San Luis Obispo, CA and Joseph Patrick Cullen of Waterford Ct; Daughter, Katherine Cullen Farrar of Treasure Island, FL; Brother Charles “Chick” Cullen, of Huntersville; and 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother William Cullen of Waterford, CT.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, 2 PM Wednesday, October 24.
