My sincerest heartfelt condolences to all of you in the loss of your mother. She has been a very dear friend to me and the Belk families for many years. Harriet and I felt like she was a second mother to us after the loss of mine. We celebrated the three of our birthdays many years going out to lunch. Lso missed by many. Thanks for sharing her with us. I truly loved seeing the memory tribute of pictures of your dad, mother and the two you in earlier years. Seeing her with all the family through the years and the many beach trips she loved was special! I must say Joyce had a life “well lived”. She is now at rest with Leland and many family members that she looked forward to seeing again. She left quite a heritage of family behind she loved. Again, she will be dearly missed.

We had the pleasure of visiting with Joyce while we lived next door to Lee in Sunset Beach. She was ahead of her time. A very interesting and admirable woman who accomplished a lot and leaves a wonderful family.
