Judith Emerick's Obituary
Judith Van Winkle Emerick 70, of Davidson North Carolina, born, December 17, 1943, passed away on Wednesday August 27, At Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte North Carolina.
The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday September 6, at Saint Alban’s Episcopal Church in Davidson, North Carolina.
Judy was born in Newark New Jersey on December 17, 1943. She graduated from Sandy Springs High School in 1961 and graduated from The University of Georgia, Athens with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. Judy was married to Robert William Emerick Jr. in October 1966, and was married for thirty-seven years until Bob’s death.
Judy worked as a stock broker in Atlanta before starting a family. She enjoyed playing golf and bridge. Judy enjoyed traveling with her family and visiting her friends. She was actively involved in North Carolina state and local government campaigns, numerous charities and the Pi Beta Phi alumni association.
Judy is survived by her sister Nancy Pearce, her sons Robert Emerick III and David Emerick, daughter in-law Alison Emerick, grandchildren Lauren Emerick and Jack Emerick. Judy is preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert William Emerick Jr. mother, Estelle Van Winkle and father, Lester Van Winkle.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Ada Jenkins Center, Davidson, NC.
