Celia Sturzl
Dr. Erlenbach was my first horn teacher back in the mid 70's when I was in high school. He's the reason I went to UWSP. I gained a solid understanding of how to play the horn and still play it to this day! I had a lot of respect for him. He was always kind and helpful.
I remember once in a lesson I was emptying my horn spit and he moved his foot suddenly and I dumped it right on his shoe!!!! I was SOOO embarrassed!! But he shrugged it off and laughed.
I kept in touch with him a bit over the years and was thrilled to connect with him at Don Greene's memorial a few years ago. He meant a lot to me and my career in music. His teaching is continuing on through my students.
My condolences to his family. May you find peace in your memories of him.
