June Elizabeth Bennett's Obituary
Mrs. June Elizabeth Bennett, 93, of The Laurels of Highland Creek in Charlotte died Tuesday, July 28, 2015.
Mrs. Bennett was a native of Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of William “Bill” and Beatrice Thoren. She was a member of Westford United Methodist Church of Concord, the United Methodist Women and had always been very involved in different aspects with her church family. She worked as a real estate agent, was a former president of the Mayfield Village Woman’s Community Club, and served on the Resident Council at The Laurels for several years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her husband, Alan G. Bennett.
Mrs. Bennett is survived by her son, Thomas “Tom” Bennett and wife, Carolyn of Rosemont, PA, daughters, Sebra Maines and husband, David of Mooresville, Lori Ruzicka and husband, James of Cincinnati, OH, sister, Audrey Goodenow of Munroe Falls, OH, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 1, 2015 in the chapel of James Funeral Home of Huntersville with The Reverend Jeffrey Rushing officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM Friday, July 31 at the funeral home. Committal services will be held at a later date in Whitehaven Memorial Park in Mayfield Village, OH.
