June Hassett's Obituary
June Palmer Hassett, aged 71, of Denver, NC passed away peacefully on July 10, 2016 after a brief struggle with cancer. June was born May 13, 1945 in Providence, RI, the daughter of the late Charles N. Palmer and Carmela Palmer. She earned her bachelor's degree and master's degree in Taxation at Bryant College. During her career as a CPA, she worked at Arthur Young & Co. and at United Dominion Industries as Vice President of Taxes. She also served on the board of directors of several of United Dominion's subsidiaries. She had a most generous, loving heart and touched many lives with her presence.
June is survived by her son Thomas Hassett and wife Sara of Denver, NC, her daughter Dana Dalton and husband Bill of Andover, MA; grandchildren, MacKenzie, Elena, Caroline & Will Dalton; her sister Lynne Shadle and husband Kurt of New Hope, PA; two nieces. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
A celebration of June's life will be held on July 26, 2016 at 11:00 am at James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Dr, Huntersville, NC 28078. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: Catering To Cats & Dogs, Inc. Website: www.C2CND.org
