Kalmer Bill Smith's Obituary
Kalmer “Bill” Smith, known to everyone as “Uncle Bill” passed away June 24, 2023.
Bill is survived by his sister, Brenda; brother Randy; a long list of nieces and nephews, along with many great nieces and great nephews, including great nephews and neighbors, Christian and Braydon who looked up to Bill as a grandfather figure. As well as his chosen family; caretaker Tonja, Stephanie and her husband Raphel, their son Leo and Tonja’s grandchildren Bentlay, Brayson and Kennedy.
Bill’s favorite activity was fishing at the river. He worked for Biggers Brothers in Charlotte, NC for about 35 years.
Bill was born in Roan Mountain, TN and moved to Charlotte when he was about 25 years old and then moved to Huntersville, NC shortly thereafter where he spent the remainder of his life.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Coy and Molly, sisters Gail and Jeanette and brothers Benny and Junior, as well as his favorite brother, Bud who passed away June, 11th, only about 13 days before of his own passing.
