Kathleen O'Sullivan's Obituary
Kathleen O’Sullivan, a cherished daughter of Ireland and a beacon of love, faith, and family, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025. Born on August 14, 1944, in the picturesque village of Miltown Malbay, County Clare, Ireland, to Peter and Bridget Egan. Kathleen was raised in a home where the values of faith and family were deeply cherished. Her Irish heritage was a source of immense pride, and she carried its traditions throughout her remarkable life.
On October 7, 1967, Kathleen married the love of her life, Jerry O’Sullivan, beginning a lifelong partnership built on unwavering devotion and mutual support. Together, they created a beautiful family, blessed with three children and seven grandchildren, each of whom she treasured beyond measure.
Though small in stature, Kathleen possessed a big personality that radiated energy and joy. Her infectious laughter could brighten the darkest days, and her boundless kindness touched everyone she met. She had a rare gift for making people feel truly seen and loved, whether through a warm conversation, or her welcoming presence.
A devout Roman Catholic, Kathleen’s faith was the foundation of her life. She found strength in prayer and purpose in her active involvement as a eucharistic minister. This deep spirituality guided her roles as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. To Jerry, she was a steadfast partner, standing by his side through all of life’s triumphs and trials. As a mother, she was nurturing and selfless, always prioritizing her children’s happiness and well-being. And as a grandmother, she was a source of endless joy, sharing her wisdom, strength, and countless memories with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Kathleen’s legacy is one of faith and family, a legacy that will endure in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She is survived by her beloved husband, Jerry O’Sullivan; her sister Mae and brothers Michael and Patrick; her children, Gerard and daughter-in-law Darlene, Brian and daughter-in-law Kaz, and Jennifer; and her seven grandchildren, Brandon, Connor, Ryan, Elizabeth, Sean, Logan and Danielle. While her loss will be profoundly felt, her spirit will live on, a lasting testament to a life filled with grace, generosity, and an unbreakable devotion to those she held dear.
